How we handle the personal data you share with us, in line with the GDPR (in Dutch: AVG).

Who we are
The controller of your personal data is KP Rentals (Prachi Bajla). KP Rentals is a tenant-side rental agent: we work for tenants only. For any privacy question, email Prachi@kprentals.nl.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us:
- Contact details, such as your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
- Search preferences, such as preferred area, budget, move-in date, planned length of stay and household details.
- Documents you choose to share for rental applications, such as ID, an employment contract or employer letter and recent payslips.
Please do not send documents through the website form. We will agree a secure way to receive them. You can mask your BSN and passport photo on copies using the Dutch government's free KopieID app.
Why we use it
We use your data only to find homes for you and to apply for them on your behalf, and to stay in touch with you about your search. The legal basis is the agreement you make with us (or the steps you ask us to take before it) and, for sharing with a landlord, your consent. We do not sell your data or use it for anything else.
Who we share it with
We share your details or documents with a landlord, property manager or letting agent only with your consent, for a specific property. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as needed for your search. Documents are deleted within 30 days after your search ends, or sooner if you ask us to.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email Prachi@kprentals.nl. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
